This season's recital is scheduled for First weekend in June (exact dates and times TBA) . (Please see our web page RECITAL for updates and details concerning the recital.)
There is a $100 per student recital fee which entitles unlimited entrance of parents, family and friends to participate in this event. No tickets are required, simply come and enjoy the performances! Also included in this fee is a completion trophy and a recital t-shirt for your dance with his/her name listed as a cast member on the back.
Every student receives a trophy in the finale award ceremony of the recital. This trophy celebrates the number of years the dancer has accomplished at Dance Beyond, as well as any dance years at previous dance studios. We encourage dancers to dress up for the awards ceremony.
Every student will need to purchase a recital costume for each class taken. Students in multiple classes have a different costume for each class. Costumes are $100 per class for recreational dancers (this includes two costumes.) and $100 each for Company competition dances. This is due in November. Accessories such as jewelry, tights, and shoes are separate charges. All costumes are yours to keep. Costumes will NOT be released until paid in full.
Classes begin on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2018. Good attendance is very important to each dancer’s success, as well as the progress of the class as a whole. Attendance is taken at every class. Please make every effort to have your child at class on time and each week. Excessive absence can become a problem. Please focus with your child on the outcome and finishing of the season, as the recital showcase and award ceremony will be truly a beautiful celebration of her/his accomplishments!
If a dancer is struggling, a private lesson may be scheduled to help the dancer with missed material/ choreography. (See Private Lessons)
HOLIDAYS/ INCLEMENT WEATHER:

DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP:
Students should enter and leave through the front door, and be dressed and ready to dance. Dancers are not allowed to stand outside the building waiting for a ride. Small dancers need to be escorted to and from inside the studio. The studio is open ten minutes prior to the first class of the day. During the first few weeks of class, we may offer earlier hours to accommodate those who need information and assistance. Please, Dance Beyond is NOT a Daycare. If you need to arrive early, please wait with your child until class begins.
OBSERVING YOUR STUDENT IN CLASS:
Classes are taught with only teachers and the dancers in the dance studio. This provides the students the opportunity to focus on their teacher and instruction without distractions. Parents and other observers are encouraged to watch their dancer on the closed circuit television located in the lobby. We cordially request that noise be kept to a quiet, conversational level.
CHANGING OR TERMINATING CLASSES:
If your dancer wishes to change classes, add, or remove a class, or completely terminate a class, please pick up an “add/drop slip” in the lobby located next to the television. In order to be removed from financial obligations, we must receive your written intentions on the “add/drop slip”, filled out by a parent/ guardian, at the start of the month for the class in which you wish to stop. Submissions received after the 10th of the month will be billed for the entire month.
