What kind of class should I take?  
What should I wear???? 
ALL COMPANY/COMPETITVE DANCERS SHOULD ALWAYS WEAR BLACK FOR DANCE CLASSES UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED BY THE STUDIO DIRECTOR.

POINTE
Dancing on pointe is the act of standing on the tips of the toes while performing steps from ballet. Also known as pointe work, it is performed using hard–toed and stiff-shanked pointe shoes. Dancing on pointe requires strength and skill, so prior permission from instructor is required before students begin taking pointe classes.

BALLET DIRECTOR
HIP HOP
This class will introduce young students’ to the basic vocabulary and style of hip hop movement. Hip Hop is about personal style and expression. This high energy class can be taught to anyone with a passion to move, so no dance experience is required.
DRESS/ LOOSE COMFORTABLE CLOTHING- SNEAKERS ARE A MUST!!! NO JEANS

CONTEMPORARY
Classes integrate various traditional disciplines of lyrical/ballet and modern dance foundations with current contemporary styles. These classes are for dancers who like physical complicated floor work, patterns of movement and self-expression. Elements of improvisation are also introduced.
DRESS/  BLACK LEOTARDS OR ANY BLACK COMFORTABLE DANCEWEAR, BALLET SHOES OR PIROETTES
BALLET
Stretching and strengthening exercises are given, barre work is continued with a greater emphasis on vocabulary and French terminology. Musicality continues to be emphasized along with balance and coordination through the strengthening of the body core. Center work is introduced with continued focus on the positions of the arms, legs and feet using classical ballet vocabulary.​

DRESS/  BLACK LEOTARD, PINK TIGHTS, HAIR IN BALLET BUN SECURED WITH HAIR NET AND BOBBY PINS, PINK SPLIT SOLE BALLET SHOES
SHAKE RATTLE & ROLL
These classes introduce a structured environment while allowing children to recognize their own individuality / body mobility featuring upbeat child appropriate music, beginning tumbling and basic ballet terminology. Focus is on coordination and rhythm introduced in creative and imaginative ways. Keeping students entertained while learning beginning dance skills will help them to acquire a lifelong love for dance.
